Removing and Replacing the iLO MP Card Battery

Step 6.
If you have installed a new iLO MP card, use the iLO MP commands to configure the server for
operation. Enter the network settings recorded during iLO MP card removal (if available).
Step 7.
Verify the card replacement and operation by using the system utilities. (See the Utilities chapter
or the
HP Integrity and HP 9000 iLO MP Operations Guide
for additional information.)

Use the iLO MP commands to verify operation.
•
Use the BCH commands to verify operation.
Step 8.
Turn on the server.
Removing and Replacing the iLO MP Card Battery
Systems have a second battery that might need replacement. The iLO MP card battery is located on the
underside of the iLO MP card.
Battery Notice
This product contains a Lithium battery (HP part number 1420-0356).
WARNING
Lithium batteries can explode if mistreated. Do not recharge, disassemble, or
dispose of lithium batteries in a fire. Failure to observe this warning can result in
personal injury or damage to equipment.
Replace only with the identical or equivalent battery. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Dispose of
used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Removing the iLO MP Card Battery
Step 1.
Remove the iLO MP card. (See “Removing the iLO MP Card” on page 209.)
Step 2.
Locate the iLO MP card battery on the bottom of the card. (See Figure 6-62.)
Step 3.
Lift up on the battery retaining clip with a flat-head screwdriver and slide the battery out of its
socket.
