Cleaning Procedures
This section provides information on how to clean the HP 9000 rp3410 and rp3440 servers.
IMPORTANT
Power off the server when cleaning it.
Table 5-7 provides instructions on how to clean the server.
CAUTION
DO NOT use petroleum-based cleaners (such as lighter fluid) or cleaners containing benzene,
trichlorethylene, ammonia, dilute ammonia, or acetone. These chemicals could damage all
plastic and painted surfaces.

Description
STBY
This standby LED comes on as soon as the system’s power cord is plugged in. If this
light is off when you plug it in, reseat the power supply, and if this does not work,
replace the power supply.
BMC
A few seconds after the system is plugged in this LED starts blinking, which means
that the BMC is active.
