A DR group log is a designated virtual disk in a source DR group that is used under certain circumstances
to temporarily store host writes to source virtual disks. Logging can be started automatically when remote
replication to the destination DR group cannot be performed, for example when a remote link is down.
Logging can also be started on demand by performing a suspend action from the GUI, jobs, or a CLUI
command. When remote replication is re-established, the contents of the source DR group log are written
to the destination virtual disks. See DR groups
logs.
Home group and home con
fi
guration
When designated as a
home group
, the group is considered be the preferred source in the remote
replication relationship. By default, the property for the source and destination DR group is set true and
false, respectively. This is called the
home con
fi
guration
. See DR groups
home
.
DR group names
When a DR group pair is created, the same DR group name is assigned to the source and destination
DR group.
