Considerations

Procedure
This procedure uses the GUI.
1. In the navigation pane, select Enabled Hosts .
2. On the List tab, select the enabled hosts to add to a managed set.
3. Select Actions > Add to Managed Set . The Create New Managed Set window opens.
4. Select a managed set, or select Create New Managed Set and enter a name.
5. Click OK .
Deleting enabled hosts
Delete an enabled host from the replication manager database. After an enabled host is deleted, the
host cannot interact with the replication manager.
Considerations
• You can use the GUI or the CLUI. See enabled hosts actions cross reference .
• Check for running jobs and scripts
CAUTION:
Ensure that no jobs or scripts are running that involve the enabled host. Deleting an enabled host
while a job or script is running can cause job or script failures.
• Check impacted jobs and scripts
CAUTION:
Once deleted, jobs or scripts that involve the enabled host may fail when run or not run properly.
Procedure
This procedure uses the GUI.
1.
In the navigation pane, select Enabled Hosts .
2. On the List tab, select the enabled host to delete.
3. Select Actions > Delete .

Click OK .
Executing a host script, command or batch fi le
Execute a command, batch fi le, or script on an enabled host. For example, you can run a script that
pauses database I/O before you make a snapshot of a virtual disk. After making a snapshot, run
another script to resume the I/O.
