The machine emits
an odor.
z
After purchase, certain parts of the machine,
such as the rubber parts, may give off an odor
for some time.
The odors will gradually disappear over use.
Do you clean the drum periodically?
z
Soap accumulation and mold growth inside
the drum can result in odors.
Run the [TUB CLEAN] program periodically.
(P. 52)
We recommend leaving the door open after
operations to prevent mold growth. In such cases,
use the door stopper to prevent children from
getting trapped inside the drum. (
P. 33)
We recommend running the [TUB DRY] program
to dry the drum and prevent mold growth.
(P. 52)
Do you clean the drain outlet periodically?
z
A clogged drain outlet can result in odors.
Clean the drain outlet about once per month.
(P. 78)
z
Is the odor a concern?
We recommend leaving the door open. In such
cases, use the door stopper to prevent children
from getting trapped inside the drum.
(P. 33)
Is the drain hose installed properly?
z
Depending on the condition of the drainage
pipe, odors may be a concern.
Depending on the installation conditions, odors
may rise out of the drain outlet during drying
operations. Try changing the dehumidification
mode from Air Cooling Mode to Water Cooling
Mode. (More water will be consumed during
drying in such cases.)
The display fogs.
Are you running a drying operation?
z
The heat from the drum may cause the display
to fog from steam and humidity.
This is not a malfunction.
Wait until the drum cools down and the fog on the
display disappears.
The upper right
side of the
machine is warm.
Are you running a drying operation?
z
The dryer’s heater is located in the upper right
side of the machine and may cause that area
to be warm during drying operations.
As there is a risk of burn injuries, wait for the
machine to cool down after drying operations.
An object fell
inside the machine.
Did the object drop through the machine and
onto the floor?
If not, stop the operation, and contact a service
representative.
