8.11 Open Modbus/TCP
For the OpenModbusTCP protocol, the communication LEDs
RUN
and
ERR
as well as the Ethernet LEDs
LINK
and
ACT
can assume the states
described below. This description is valid from stack version V2.5.

LED state
Definition
Flashing (1 Hz)
The indicator turns on and off with a frequency of 1 Hz:
“on” for 500 ms, followed by “off” for 500 ms.
Flashing (2 Hz,
25% on
)
The indicator turns on and off with a frequency of 2 Hz:
“on” for 125 ms, followed by “off” for 375 ms.
Flashing (5 Hz)
The indicator turns on and off with a frequency of 5 Hz:
“on” for 100 ms, followed by “off” for 100 ms.
Flickering (load
dependant)
The indicator turns on and off with a frequency of approximately 10 Hz to indicate high Ethernet
activity: on for approximately 50 ms, followed by off for 50 ms. The indicator turns on and off in
irregular intervals to indicate low Ethernet activity.
