2.11 Braking Malfunction

1. Check that the screws or supports are not damaged, loose, or missing from 

the caster attachments. 

All the supports and screws are secure and not damaged.

Replace the missing parts, and then go to “Function Checks” on 
page 2-4.

2. Check the brake/steer bar. Set it to the brake position, and then check that 

the four casters are locked by trying to move the bed. 

The braking is correct.
