16. Remove the switches (B) from the bed.
Replacement
NOTE:
The tape switch assembly consists of two tape switches connected to a single
cable that connects to the interface P.C. board.
1. Route the switch cable through the central rail toward the head end of the
bed to the interface box (I).
2. Connect the switch cable to connector P13 on the interface P.C. board (H).
3. Install the nine screws (F), to secure the interface box cover (G) to the
interface box (I).
4. Lay one switch (B) on the seat section (C).
5. Install four plastic rivets (A) to secure the switch (B) to the seat section (C).
6. Lay the other switch (B) on the knee section (D).
7. Install four plastic rivets (A) to secure the switch (B) to the knee section
(D).
8. To make sure the CareAssist™ Bed operates correctly, do the “Function
Checks” on page 2-6.
