Rounded Rectangle Tool
The
Rounded Rectangle
Tool is the same as the Rectangle tool except that it has rounded corners. You can adjust
the radius of the corners to your liking. Follow the instructions on changing rounded corners found in the Rectangle
Tool section above.
Triangle Tool
This tool will always draw an isosceles triangle. The two sides of the triangle will always be equal in length. The
baseline will be parallel to the ruler.
Note:
If you hold down the Shift key on the keyboard while drawing the triangle, a triangle with 3 equal length sides
will be drawn.
Regular Triangle
This will draw a standard triangle with a black outline and pointed corners.
Warning Triangle
This will draw a warning-style triangle with a black outline and rounded corners.
Note:
You may adjust the setting for rounded corners in the Triangle Properties dialog box.
Ellipse Tool
The ellipse tool is used to create elliptical and circular objects.
Note:
To create circles, hold down the
Shift
key while drawing the ellipse.
Text Tool
The text tool is used to create boxes that contain text. Every set of text that is formatted a certain way must be kept
as its own text box. Every text box may be formatted using the
Properties
box. To open the
Properties
box, go to
the
Object
menu and choose
Properties...
.
Vertical Align
- Allows you to place the text at the Top, Middle, or Bottom of the Text box.
Auto Size
- When checked, will force the information to fit inside of the drawn box.
Line Spacing
- Allows you to change the space between lines. Negative points bring the lines closer together, while
the positive points spread the lines further apart.
Horz/Vert Scaling
- This will stretch the actual size of the characters vertically or horizontally. You can force the
characters to take up the whole width or height of a text box.
% Scale
- Use along with the
Horz/Vert Scaling
. This allows you to manually change the charcters horizontally or
vertically. (100% = no scaling).
