Chapter 6: Thermal Transfer Printers
Only newer TT1210 printers have the movable sensor. If your printer has a metal label guide located under the print
head then you have a TT1210 without an adjustable sensor. If your printer has BLACK plastic label guide located
under the print head then you have an adjustable sensor.
How to Adjust the Sensor
The TT1210’s gap sensor is installed underneath the printhead of the printer. You should see two black plastic guides
between which you normally load the labels. The edge of the top plastic piece has a green triangle-shaped piece that
also guides the labels.
If you look underneath the bottom black plastic guide, you will see green plastic tabs stick out below the guide. If you
gently squeeze the tabs together, you will find that you can move the sensor back and forth horizontally. Try a
different position for the sensor and do another auto-gap sequence. Continue this process until you find a placement
of the sensor that works for you.
