FD2200 stage 5
/ Translation of the original instructions
Once the fault has been located and repaired,
replace the blown fuse with one of the same rating.
Never
replace a fuse with another of a different rating.
All relays are inside the box (fig. 31). A safety micro
switch controls that the grass catcher is in working position (fig. 32, ref. C), otherwise the turbine and the
cutting deck will not engage. If the electrical problems still persist even after having carried out the described
interventions, contact the Authorised Service Centre. Never attempt to carry out complex repairs without
having the necessary means and technical knowledge available.
HOW THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DEVICES WORK
-
A safety micro switch controls that the grass catcher is in working position (fig. 32, ref. C), otherwise the
cutting deck and the turbine do not work.
-
A micro switch is fitted on the radiator (fig. 19, ref. B). It measures the coolant temperature. When the
coolant temperature goes beyond 92°C, the micro switch sends a signal to the control unit which starts
the automatic cleaning cycle, inverting for some seconds the radiator fan rotating sense. It is possible to
carry out the cleaning cycle also by hand acting on the respective button on the control panel (fig. 2 no.
5).
-
On the thermostatic valve casing a temperature thermal contact is fitted, the latter is connected to the
instrument that indicates the liquid temperature and which sends the alarm and the engine cut-off
signal if the temperature goes beyond 107°C (fig. 16, ref. B).
-
On the feed pedal system a micro switch is fitted which senses the stop position to give consent to the
start (fig. 47).
-
On the parking brake lever there is a sensor (fig. 40, ref. B) that senses when the brake is engaged and
that allows that the engine keeps running even if the operator has left the driving seat.
-
On the reverse gear pedal there is a micro switch that activates the reverse gear warning buzzer (fig. 48).
-
The differential locking electric valve (fig. 46, ref. A) is behind the radiator: when it starts, a red led lights
up.
-
The full grass catcher micro switch is fitted on the mobile deflector inside the grass catcher and sends
the signal to disengage the blades when the grass catcher is full (fig. 14, ref. A).
TURBINE ACTIVATING ELECTROVALVE
The turbine activating electrovalve is on the machine left hand side of the, near the battery (fig. 21, ref. C).
By pressing the button on the dashboard the electrovalve activates the turbine. The electrovalve can be
unlocked by acting on the central pin in the middle of the coil shaft. When the electrovalve receives electricity,
a red led comes on.
CLUTCH ACTIVATING ELECTROVALVE
The clutch engagement electrovalve (fig. 49) is under the footrest platform: to inspect and control it, open the
flap under the seat. The calibration is 9,5 bar. It is important not to change it to avoid damaging the clutches
seals. In emergency cases you need to tighten ref. A on fig. 49 to engage the clutch. In case the clutch
remains engaged, unscrew slightly ref. B on fig. 49 and then tighten it again. Tightening torque 41-47 Nm.
CLEANING
Clean the deck, the entry ducts, the loading turbine and the grass catcher. Do not wash the engine
compartment with water under pressure, use some compressed air or a vacuum cleaner.
TOW HOOK
The towing hook is located in the rear part of the machine (fig. 33). You can tow compaction rollers and
trailers up to max. 400 kg weight on level ground. It is forbidden to tow trailers on public road.
TOWING THE MACHINE WITH A CUT OFF ENGINE
Attention! To be able to move the machine when the engine is cut off loosen the screw on the hydrostatic
pump (fig. 26) by two turns; pay attention because doing so the efficiency of the self-braking device is
cancelled.
Tow the machine at very low speed and only on small distances, maximum 100 metres, to
avoid hydraulic pump and/or engines seizing.
LIFTING HOOKS AND TRANSPORT
The lifting hooks (fig. 34) location enables the machine complete with the cutting deck to be perfectly
balanced if it must be lifted up with a crane.
Check the machine’s weight on the serial number plate and use only suitable equipment (ramps, cranes,
etc.).
If the machine is carried with a lorry or with a towed trailer, set the cutting deck at a low position,
apply the parking brake and tie it up to the means of transport using ropes, cables, or chains.
