Remove the seal cover o-ring (496R, XHD).
6.2.21 Optional disassembly of gland half casing, gland liner, and seal
cover - Rubber-Lined
NOTICE:
When there is no expeller assembly supplied, the Gland casing assembly can be removed and
rebuilt as an assembly.
The gland half casing (100D), volute liner (600T), seal cover (184), and/or split stuffing box assembly
(159), can be removed as an entire assembly
1.
Once the impeller is removed from the shaft, support the entire gland casing assembly with a strap,
located thru the appropriate gland half casing hoisting location.
2.
Loosen and remove the casing to pedestal bolts (370Y) and nuts from the taper alignment studs
(427L).
3.
Carefully remove the assembly and hoist to the ground to disassemble as required, using the in-
structions in the related sections of this instruction manual.
