German
RepRap
8.8 Z-Home Position
Compared to all other 3D printers from German RepRap the homing procedure of the x500pro is different.
Z-home is defined as the lowest point of the Z-axis the print bed can reach.
From here a value is measured called the „Z-MAX length“. This value determines how high the print bed can
go. Your X500pro is already calibrated, but in case any changes are made to the hot-end, e.g. changing the
nozzle, there might be a need for small adjustments.
The Z-MAX LENGTH can be adjusted via the Repetier-Server, please follow the instructions above to enter
the EEPROM of your x500. Here you can edit the Z-MAX LENGTH ( nr.4).
Please make sure that the value for the
Z-Home Position
is identical to the
Z-Max
value.
If they do not correspond, please copy the correct value into the
Z-Home Position
. See page 35.
Warning:
Using the wrong values can damage the printer. The
print bed might collide with the tool head or even the
carriage itself.
If you are not sure about the process of adjusting
the print bed height, please contact your reseller
You can control the heated chamber via Repetier-Server, its stored as „Extruder 3“. Please read chapter „5.4
Device panel - control“ ( p.29) about how to set temperatures in Repetier-Server.
Please contact your reseller for further information.
Warning:
Move the extruder and the heated bed to the following position in order to avoid heat
accumulating, using the following command:
G1 X250 Y300 Z220
Please consult chapter 9.
