In order to prevent that the material gets stuck while pushing it out of the extruder, its recommended to
extrude first approx.10mm of filament (arrow down) before pushing it out of the extruder (arrow up).
To remove the leftover filament please retract at least 60mm of filament using the touch-display. After the
filament was released by the extruder, you can either remove it at the tool head slide or the material storage
(left side of the printer).
The filament storage is on the left side of the X500pro. There is enough space to store one big spool and
three small ones. It also contains the Filament Tracking System (FTS).
This prevents your printer from failing due to a lack of filament while printing. As soon as one of the FTS
detects that it ran out of filament the printer stops and traverses to a parking position.
The left slot is the FTS for the left/ first extruder, the right one is linked to the second extruder.
To feed filament into one of the extruders, please make sure to first guide it though the FTS slot and then
into the filament guidance hose of the extra filament feeder. Push the nob on the feeder to release the
spring tension of the feeder. Once the filament is fixed with the spring tension of the feeder use the Feed-In
button of the printer commands to automatically feed in the filament to extruder. ATTENTION: The extruder
MUST be heated to the filaments extruson temperature!

Tip:
It is easier to insert the filament, when you
straighten the end and cut it off diagonally.
