Replace the Drive Hub Oil
Manufacturer specifications require that this one-time
procedure be performed after the first 150 hours.
Replacing the drive hub oil is essential for good
machine performance and service life. Failure to
replace the drive hub oil after the initial 150 hours of
use may cause the machine to perform poorly and
continued use may cause component damage.
Drive hubs:
1 Select the drive hub to be serviced. Drive the
machine until one of the two plugs is at the lowest
point.
2 Remove both plugs and drain the oil into a suitable
container.
3 Drive the machine until one plug is at the top and
the other is at 90 degrees.

4 Fill the hub with oil from the top hole until the oil
level is even with the bottom of the side plug
hole. Install the plugs.
5 Install the plugs into the drive hub. Torque to
Specification. Refer to Section 2,
Specifications.
6 Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other drive hub.
7 Check the torque of the drive hub mounting
bolts. Refer to Section 2,
Specifications.
Turntable rotate drive hub:
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring on the fitting and/or hose end must be
replaced and then torqued to specification during
installation. Refer to Section 2,
Hydraulic Hose and
Fitting Torque Specifications.
1 Secure the turntable from rotating with the
turntable rotation lock pin.
Note: The turntable rotation lock pin is located next
to the boom rest pad.
2 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hoses
from the turntable rotate drive motor. Cap the
fittings on the drive motor.
3 Attach a suitable lifting device to the lifting eyes
located near the drive motor.
