4.1.4 CREATING A NEW SETPOINT FILE
Creating a new SPM setpoint file is accomplished as follows”

Start the SPMPC software. It is not necessary to have a SPM connected to the computer. The SPMPC sta-
tus bar will indicate that the program is in "Polling Relay" mode and "Not Communicating"

Choose an appropriate section of setpoints to program from the Programming menu (e.g. Programming
> Configuration) and enter the new setpoints. When finished, click OK. The information is automatically
stored to the computer's scratchpad memory.

Repeat step 2 until all the desired setpoints are programmed.

Select the File > Save As menu item to store this file to disk. Enter the location and file name of the set-
point file with a file extension of '.SPM' and select OK.

The setpoint file is now saved to disk. See Section 4.1.6: LOADING SETPOINTS FROM A FILE on page
4–6 for instructions on downloading a setpoint file to the SPM relay.
