Important notes for consideration prior to cleaning:
Recommended cleaning cycle of the Lullaby
TM
Warmer is every one week or between
babies or following hospital guidelines.
Recommended cleaning cycle in addition to hospital guideline:
Between Patients:
•
Weekly for patients occupying the bed longer than one week
• When visible debris or discoloration is present
Wear a gown and gloves as per the hospital policy.
Prior to cleaning, remove any patient care equipment from drawers and shelves.
Remove any accessory equipment for cleaning as well as the patient temperature
probes.
Empty the drawers and the shelves. Remove the accessories and the probes.
Temperature probes must not be submerged in liquids. Discard the disposables. Use a
soft cloth to apply cleaning solution to the temperature probes to disinfect them.
These guidelines are designed to complement and are not meant to replace hospital
infection control policies.
Cleaning Instructions:
After each patient use, follow your hospital’s infection control procedures for surface disinfection.
Wipe down the surfaces of the Lullaby
TM
Warmer with a soft cloth dampened with a
cleaning solution. Refer to Section 3.6 Cleaning Solutions.
Always follow the cleaning solution manufacturer’s direction for use.
After completing air drying of cleaning solution, wipe all surfaces with a soft cloth to
remove any cleaner residue.
