With Version 2 of 2D Design you will be able to engrave bitmaps, this advanced section will show you the extra steps that will need to be taken to engrave a bitmap.
Firstly, you will need to import your photograph/bitmap into 2D Design. To do this go to and then
. Select your photo from the saved location
Step 1.
‘Import File’
on your computer.
Note
: You can also use the copy and paste option to
import a bitmap, colour images can be used.
Once you have imported your image you will need to change the bitmap into a greyscale image. To do this firstly,
by selecting it.
Step 2.
Highlight Your Image
Then go to on the top tool bar of 2D Design, then select
‘Bitmaps’
‘Set To Greyscale.’
