Problem
Possible Reason
The Easy Solution
Water has been spilled,
when filling the water
tank.
Ensure that the exterior of the water tank is dry, before
re-placing the water tank. Avoid filling the water tank,
while it is still mounted, because the water may be spil-
led quite easily.
Overflow of the drip tray
or the drip tray is not
installed correctly.
During operation, avoid overfilling the drip tray. Empty
the drip tray in time—at least, when the filling level
indicator comes up from under the metal grid. Remo-
ve the drip tray carefully and avoid tilting the drip tray,
when pulling it out of the appliance. Ensure to insert the
drip tray correctly, when pushing it back into the base
of the machine.. The front of the drip tray must level up
with the front of the base.
Water or splashes given
off by the steam wand
ran out.
Even when the control dial is in the central standby posi-
tion (off), water and steam may escape. Thus, always
turn the steam wand to the drip tray or into a vessel,
when the steam wand is not in use. Wipe spilled water
immediately.
The water system is lea-
king.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Get in contact with
your vendor for examination and repair.
