13. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the espresso machine. The power icon
flashes slowly and the grinder icon illuminates, while the appliance starts heating
the group head. Wait until the power icon illuminates continuously.
WARNING
– From the portafilter and the steam wand, hot water and steam
will escape. Do not hold your hands and arms under the group head or at the steam
wand, while the appliance is switched on and/or still hot. Please keep in mind, that
the water in your vessel will be hot too. If required, protect your hands.
IMPORTANT -
During the following procedure, keep an eye on the filling level
of the water tank. Do not empty the water tank completely. The filling level may
not fall below the “MIN” marking. Additionally, ensure to empty the drip tray an
your vessel in time and place them back below the group head and steam wand
again. The drip tray must be emptied, when the red filling level indicator comes
up under the metal grid.
14. Turn the control dial to the water icon (counter-clockwise). Let the appliance give
off water for approx. 10 seconds. Then turn back the control dial to the standby
position. If required, wait until the espresso icons illuminate again.
15. Press the DOUBLE button (2 espressi) and wait, until the cycle is finished auto-
matically.
16. Check the filling levels in your vessel, the water tank, and the drip tray. If
required, empty and replace the bowl and the drip tray. Repeat steps 14 and
15 until the filling level in the water tank dropped to the “1.0L” marking.
17. Fill the water tank and empty the drip tray.
Now, the appliance is ready for extracting espresso.

Do not leave children younger than 8 years and animals
without supervision, if the espresso machine is in their reach.
When you do not
wish to use the appliance for some time or leave the appliance unattended,
always turn the control dial to the central standby position, switch off via the ON/
OFF button, and unplug the appliance.
