CHANGING THE GROUND AMOUNT
The » Design Espresso Barista Pro « enables to set the time, the grinder will run, when
the GRIND button is pressed shortly (grinding time). Thereafter, when the bean hop-
per is filled with a sufficient amount of coffee beans, the set amount of coffee powder
is produced, whenever pressing the GRIND button shortly.
NOTE
When the machine switched to programming mode, the grinder icon flashes. On
normal operation (pressing the GRIND button shortly), the grinder icon is illumina-
ted contiuously.
IMPORTANT -
The system only records a grinding time above 5 seconds (5-6 g).
Any shorter time will be ignored, thus preventing that the grinding time will be
changed unintendedly.
1. Ensure that the bean hopper is filled with a sufficient amount of whole coffee
beans.
2. Hold the GRIND button pressed, as long as the grinder shall operate. The grin-
der icon flashes, while the GRIND button is pressed.
3. As soon as the desired amount of coffee powder is given off, release the GRIND
button. The grinder stops. When the grinding time reached at least 5 seconds,
the new grinding time will be saved to memory.
PROGRAMMING THE EXTRACTION VOLUME
You can adjust the volume of espresso assigned to the SINGLE and DOUBLE but-
tons separately.
IMPORTANT -
For programming, an espresso volume of 20 ml-120 ml is required.
Proceed as follows:
1. Hold the desired espresso button (SINGLE or DOUBLE) pressed until the assi-
gned espresso icon flashes, and the extraction process starts audibly. Then
release the espresso button.
2. As soon as the desired amount is given off, press the same espresso button
again (below the flashing icon). If the attempt is successful, an acoustic signal
sounds, and the espresso machine keeps this extraction volume in memory. The
programmed amount of espresso will be given off automatically, when pressing
this espresso button shortly.
