Extended addressing (sub-addressing)
Note
This function is only possible for system telephones and ISDN telephones for the ISDN
connection.
An ISDN terminal can be reached with a particular telephone number. With SUB feature
(subaddressing) you can make extended addressing possible for a terminal unit with a par-
ticular multiple subscriber number. Sub-addressing is transparently transferred by the
device.
You can only use this feature if SUB (subaddressing) is enabled for your connection and is
supported by the ISDN terminal units. For information on operation, please see the user's
guide for your ISDN terminals.
Information on received messages (MWI)
You can only use this function is the MWI (message waiting indication) performance fea-
ture is activated for your ISDN connection. This information is transparently transferred
from the ISDN connection to the ISDN connection and must be evaluated by the connected
ISDN terminals (e.g. system telephone).
Holding
For all internal and external calls, the subscriber is held in the device. The subscriber on
hold hears music (except in the case of telephones run via VoIP ad soft clients) from the
device.
Parking
You have a corded ISDN telephone on the ISDN connection and make a call from this tele-
phone. During the call, you find that you need to continue the call in another room.
You can

the call for about three minutes, disconnect the telephone from the ISDN
connection and reconnect it to the internal ISDN connection in the required area. You can
then continue this call.
This performance feature is supported by the device for ISDN telephones on the internal
