3.4 Initial start-up
So that other telephones and terminals that you have connected can be reached directly
from outside, the ISDN and DSL telephone numbers must now be assigned to the internal
connections. Consult the user's guide for your existing terminals to find out how the per-
formance features can be used and with which settings.
Your device has integrated Web configuration. Configuration is carried out using the Web
browser of a PC connected to one of the device's LAN connections.
3.5 Telephoning
Note
SIP terminals cannot use all the functions described here. Some functions are not pos-
sible, for other functions you must use your own procedures. These procedures are
described in the relevant user's guides.
Note
If you dial out from analogue telephones via an SIP provider, the time between enter-
ing two numbers cannot be longer than 5 seconds. In the case of some SIP providers,
the telephone number is otherwise regarded as incomplete and dialling is terminated.
After dialling via an SIP provider, do not replace the receiver immediately if you do not
hear the ringing tone. The ringing tone may only come on a while after dialling.
