System Configuration
vSphere accesses VVOLs through Protocol Endpoints (PE). The server recognizes PEs as logical volumes. VVOLs
are created in a pool called a storage container. Storage containers and VVOLs correspond to FTRPs and FTVs of
the ETERNUS DX.

Storage containers are pools for creating VVOLs. The ETERNUS DX uses FTRPs as storage containers. Multiple
storage containers can be created in the ETERNUS DX.
