(3) PID control
PID control is implemented by combining P control with the deviation suppression of I
control and the oscillation suppression of D control. PID control features minimal control
deviation, high precision and high stability.
In particular, applying PID control to any system that has a long response time to the
occurrence of deviation will yield excellent results.
Follow the procedure below to set PID data.
It is highly recommended that the PID control amount is selected and set while monitoring
the system response waveform with an oscilloscope or equivalent. Repeat following
procedure to identify the optimal solution for each system.
- Increase the data to be set to function code J03 (PID gain) in the range where the
feedback signal does not oscillate.
- Decrease the data to be set to function code J04 (PID integration time) in the range where
the feedback signal does not oscillate.
- Increase the data to be set to function code J05 (PID differentiation time) in the range
where the feedback signal does not oscillate.
