5. Installing and Wiring Components
Use the information in this section to wire an I/O Master to a device such as an RTU and to wire an
I/O Slave to an end device such as pressure sensor or switch.
5.1 Wiring an I/O Master
The terminal block on the I/O Master can accept a single wire of a maximum size of 16 gauge
(1.31 mm²). Smaller wire is required for 2 wires, or wire and resistor connected into the same
screw terminal.
5.1.1 Screw Torque
For all connections, use these tightening torque minimum and maximum:
