How to access and set a Setup menu
You can set each menu in the Setup mode using the following keys and jog dial.

You can access the Setup menu while the unit is stopped and the SHIFT indicator is unlit.
1. While the unit is stopped and the SHIFT indicator
is unlit, press the [SETUP] key.
The unit enters the Setup mode.
The first time the unit enters the Setup mode after
turning on the power, the first level of the "RTC
Adjust?" menu is shown on the display. Otherwise, the
first level of the Setup menu previously accessed is
shown.

2. Use the jog dial to select a desired Setup menu,
and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
Rotating the jog dial cycles through the first level of
Setup menus.
Pressing the [ENTER/YES] key goes to the second level
of the Setup menu currently shown, where the current
option flashes. You can select the desired option in this
condition.
The upper display example below shows the first level
of the "D.IN Tr.?" menu, while the lower example shows
the second level accessed by pressing the [ENTER/YES]
key.

3. Use the jog dial to select a desired option, and
press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The selected option is confirmed and the display
returns to the second level.
4. Press the [EXIT/NO] (or [STOP]) key to exit the
Setup mode.
Note that each procedure described in the following
pages starts from the condition in which the second
level is shown on the display (i.e. the condition after
carrying out steps 1 and 2 above).
Tips:
• You can also use the [SKIP/CURSOR] (|<</>>|)
keys instead of the jog dial to select a desired
Setup menu or option.
• You can also use the numeric keys instead of
the jog dial to enter time data such as the
internal clock time, mute recording time and
slate tone recording time.
