Remove and Inspect the G-Series Valves
To remove the G-series valve, see Figure 24.
1. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the c-clip
.
2. Remove the coil
and washer
from the valve shaft
. Note the
orientation of the washer, the chamfered side faces the coil bottom (flat side
faces the base).
3. Use a 5.5 mm wrench to remove the valve shaft and valve body
from the
base
.
4. Inspect the seat on the valve body.
5. Inspect the O-ring
in the valve base.
6. To remove the valve base or the entire valve, use a pin wrench
.
Install the G-Series Valves
1. Use the pin wrench
to ensure that the base is installed. See Figure 24.
Ensure the O-ring is in the base.
2. Install the valve body into the valve shaft. Ensure the seat of the valve body is
facing up so it makes contact with the orifice on the valve base when re-
installed.
3. Install the valve shaft
and valve body into the base
and tighten using a
5.5 mm wrench.
4. Install the coil washer (chamfer up) onto the valve shaft.
5. Install the coil onto the valve shaft and install the c-clip.
