Changing settings for image saving
General
To make working with the camera more efficient you can change a variety of settings
related to how, and under which circumstances, an image will be saved.
If you use the camera frequently, is it recommended that you change these settings
to suit your workflow.
Types of settings
You can change the following parameters:

Prompt for text annotation
, i.e., to be asked for a text annotation when saving an
infrared image.
■
Prompt for image description
, i.e., to be asked for an image description when
saving an infrared image.
■
Prompt for voice annotation
, i.e., to be asked for a voice annotation when saving
an infrared image.
■
Prompt for digital photo
, i.e., to go to digital camera mode after saving an infrared
image.
■
Prompt for fusion image
, i.e., to go to fusion mode after saving an infrared image.
■
Prompt for picture in picture
, i.e., to go to Picture in Picture mode after saving
an infrared image.
■
JPEG Compression
, i.e., to change the compression of images.
■
Associate images
, i.e., to associate digital photos with infrared images.
■
Simultaneous snapshot
, i.e., to make the camera take the infrared image and the
digital photo at the same time, with no user intervention.
■
Image naming
, i.e., to set naming conventions for saved images.
■
Reset counter
, i.e., to reset the image naming counter.
Procedure
Follow this procedure to change settings for image saving:
To go to the mode selector, push the
button to the right of the joystick.

In the mode selector, select
Setup
and push the joystick.

In the toolbox, select
Image saving
.
3
For each parameter, do the following:
1 To enter edit mode, push the joystick.
2 To change the setting, push the joystick up/down.
3 To confirm each choice, push the joystick.

To confirm and leave the dialog box, push the
button.
