16.2 Creating & setting up a box or circle
General To measure the temperature of a larger area, use the box or circle measurement
function.
Procedure
Follow this procedure to create and set up a box or a circle:
To go to the mode selector, push the button to the right of the joystick.

In the mode selector, select Camera and push the joystick.

To create a box or circle, select Box or Circle in the toolbox and push the
joystick.

To resize the box or circle, do the following:
1 Select Resize and move .
2 Push the joystick.
3 To resize the box or circle, move the joystick left/right or up/down.
4 To confirm, push the button.

To move the box or circle, do the following:
1 Select Resize and move .
2 Push the joystick.
3 To switch between resizing and moving, push the joystick.
4 To move the box or circle, move the joystick left/right or up/down.
5 To confirm, push the button.

To specify type of result, select one or more of the following and push the
joystick to confirm:

Max. , i.e., returns the maximum temperature inside the box or circle.
■
Min. , i.e., returns the minimum temperature inside the box or circle.
■
Avg. , i.e., returns the average temperature inside the box or circle.

To display visual markers that indicate the exact position of the maximum
and minimum temperature, respectively, select
Markers and push the joy-
stick to confirm.

To use the box or circle temperature as a reference temperature, select Set
as reference temperature and push the joystick to confirm.
Note: You can only use the command Set as reference temperature if you
select one of the results in step 6 above.
When you use the box or circle temperature as a reference temperature, it
will be captured as a fixed temperature value. Consequently, if the box or
circle temperature changes, the reference temperature will not be updated
automatically.
