Creating & setting up a difference calculation
General
A difference calculation returns the difference between the values of two known
measurement results, or between the value of a measurement result and the reference
temperature.
Procedure
Follow this procedure to create and set up a difference calculation:
To go to the mode selector, push the
button to the right of the joystick.

In the mode selector, select
Camera
and push the joystick.

To set up a difference calculation, select
Difference
in the toolbox and push
the joystick.

Do the following and push the joystick to confirm each choice:
1 To select the
first
function in the difference calculation, select
Function
1
and push the joystick. Move the joystick up/down to select the measure-
ment tool you want to use for this function.
2 To select the
ID
of the measurement tool, select
Id
and push the joystick.
Move the joystick up/down to select the ID.
3 To select the
result type
of the measurement tool, select
Type
and push
the joystick. Move the joystick up/down to select the result type of the
measurement tool.

Do the following and push the joystick to confirm each choice:
1 To select the
second
function in the difference calculation, select
Function

and push the joystick. Move the joystick up/down to select the measure-
ment tool you want to use for this function.
2 To select the
ID
of the measurement tool, select
Id
and push the joystick.
Move the joystick up/down to select the ID.
3 To select the
result type
of the measurement tool, select
Type
and push
the joystick. Move the joystick up/down to select the result type of the
measurement tool.

To make the difference calculation trigger an alarm, select
Alarm
to set up
alarm parameters. For information about how to do this, see section 18 –
Working with alarms on page 111.

To confirm and leave the dialog box, push the
button.
