Configuring cellular messaging destination
The recipient destination for messages sent over the cellular network must be specified. This is critical to the
delivery of tracking, mapping and other data to appropriate parties. Messages are usually sent to a central
ground data server, which follows pre-configured rules to distribute any received data appropriately.
The DZM currently supports WaveCom GSM, Wavecom 3G and MultiTech CDMA cell modems.
Configuring cellular messaging destination:
From the ’Tracking Setup’ sub-menu, use the arrow keys to
navigate to ’Cell Destination’.
Press the
ENTER key to select. The 'Cell Destination' screen
displays.
Use the number keys to enter the destination phone number.
Press and hold the
0 key to enter the international dialing
Use the
Cancel key to backspace one digit
Use the
Enter key to confirm the number entered.
The cellular messaging destination can also be set using the DZM firmware upload utility. Refer to "APPENDIX
A: Upgrading DZM firmware" on page 80 for further information about this utility.
