If the CNC has the automatic positioning of pincher height, the operator must enable the grab on the up-
per side by soft-key n. 18 in the window “Cutting unit soft-keys” (see page n. 31). The right positioning is
automatically evaluated by CNC software depending on the profile size.
Working “D” profiles (different flanges)
To work asymmetric profiles it is necessary to fit the machine with optional devices to support the shorter
flange. Normally the longer flange is to be on the datum line side.

Change of pincher orientation
The pincher can grab the profile on the web or on the flange; this could be profitable if, for instance, the
profile must be worked near the initial or final edge.
To modify the pincher orientation it is necessary to operate as shown in the following picture:
When adjusting the horizontal position of the pincher be careful to the right height, because the pincher
must pass in the slits carried out in the vice of drilling and cutting unit on the datum line side.
