FICEP S.p.A.
Blade running-in
Material section that the band has to cut at reduced
speed during the first phase of band use.
Blade rotation speed (L.H. side of the video)
Actual value of band rotation speed, touching the
“+” and “-“ push button by the sides of the “speed”
graphic bar, it is possible to adjust the speed in-
creasing or decreasing it by steps of 5%.
Push-button “New blade”
Touching it, the “Max blade life” is preset to the last
value typed in and the counters “Actual blade life”
and “Remaining blade life” are set to zero.
Codes describing the tool and the operations types
ATTENTION
: the availability of the following codes depends on the configuration of the
line.
Code
Cycle
Description
DRILL
Sensitive drilling with a
twist drill
The drilling cycle executes through holes using the tool da-
ta set in the setup window; if necessary, the sensitive cycle
for tool length pick-up can be set.
DRILL_32
Programmed drilling with
insert type drill
Allows drilling with inserts or special tools, the sensitive cy-
cle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
DRILL_33
Programmed drilling with
a twist drill
Allows drilling with tools for high-speed rotation and for
dead holes; the sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up can-
not be used.
DEBURR
Traditional deburring
The tool reaches the material surface, waits the time set by
the operator and, then, goes back until the start coordinate.
ATTENTION: this operation can be performed only if a
through hole is present.
The sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
FLARE
Countersink
The cycle requires a tool with 90° cutting angle.
The cycle executes the rapid approach positioning then ad-
vance at the speed set in EXECUTION/TABLES/DRILLING
until the depth calculated to obtain the programmed exter-
nal diameter.
ATTENTION: this operation can be performed only if a
through hole is present.
The sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
DEBURR_36
Deburring with NBT tool
(it works on the opposite
side respect to the drill
entry one)
After being come out from the material, the tool waits the
time set by the operator and then goes back until the start
coordinate.
ATTENTION: this operation can be performed only if a
through hole is present.
The sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
POINT_37
Timed sensitive pointing
with twist drill
The cycle executes a mark on the material; its depth de-
pends on how much long is the time set (TMP018) in the
window “Parameters” in the “Execution” section. For this
operation, the same tool of “DRILL” is used.
The sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
SPOT_FACING Spot facing
This cycle is used to realize the seat for cheese-headed
screw; it is similar to pocket operation without contouring.
The sensitive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
POINT
Pointing with pointing tool Similar to POINT_37 cycle but using a real burin; the sensi-
tive cycle for tool length pick-up cannot be used.
