The tools (drills and blades) have always to be handled with protecting
gloves.
Wear protecting gloves also to remove small parts and chips when cleaning
operations are required on the machine, or when restoring the fluid levels
(blade and drills) and for oil change in the hydraulic power unit. When
replacing fluids levels wear also eye protectors.
Never use the saw table as trample surface when blade change and
maintenance operations are required. In the event the access is absolutely
necessary, before doing it be sure no oil traces or chips are present, which
may cause slipping and falling of operator.
When the machine is executing working cycles with high rotation speed of
the spindle (over 1500 rpm) it is forbidden to go directly to setup mode, as
first it is necessary to press the stop cycle push button.
Remember that when photoelectric safety barriers are installed their
interruption causes automatically the passage of the machine to setup mode.
The same happens when opening the covers or doors of barriers.
1.9 SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND REGULATIONS

FICEP's Automatic Lines are usually furnished with the following anti-
hazard equipment and devices, which, in the opinion of FICEP's Engineers,
will provide full operator's safety and machine versatility.

Global emergency stop push-button , with mechanical re-set, to stop
the whole operation of the machine.

Photo electric barrier (if installed) to stop the axes movement and
force the machine in set-up mode.

Emergency limit switch
to prevent opening of the electric cabinet door
when the board is live, that cuts the main breaker off.
 Key type selector switch to switch off the electronic circuitry during
the machine set-up cycle (Ex. for a tool change). The selector switch
must remain with one man only and, during the machine set-up, this
person must switch-off the selector switch and remove the key, to
prevent that any other person may accidentally put the selector switch in
working operation. The use of the selector switch is recommended also
when a photoelectric barrier is installed, to prevent a reset occur at the
presence of a person in the protected zone.
The enclosed print shows the configuration of the main devices and
equipment that must normally fitted to the machine.
