Flying measurement (position sampling)

The digital input (CO/EC/EP/PN [X9.5]; DIO [X9.17]) is intended as a fast sample input for flying meas

urement. The following types of position recording can be selected via the sample operating mode

(PNU 352.1):

–

With each rising or trailing edge at the sample input, the current position value is stored in the

EMCA. Unread values are overwritten.

–

Only after the current position value is read out is the new position value stored in the EMCA with

the next change of edge.

The higher-order controller (PLC/IPC) can read out the position value via the PNU 350.1/351.1.
