Resolving the Unknown Ribbon Type Error Message
Symptom:
The Printer is unable to determine the type of Ribbon installed.
Step
Procedure
1
Verify the Ribbon type.
Ensure that the Print Ribbon installed in the Printer is a DTC 550 Ribbon.
Ensure that the green flange of the Ribbon core is aligned next to the
green hub in the Printer.

Verify that there is an RFID tag present on the Ribbon Flange.
Resolving the Headlift Error Message
Symptom:
The Printer was unable to raise or lower the Printhead.
Step
Procedure
1 Press
the
Resume
button to retry.

If the Headlift does not rotate, check the Headlift Motor (A000124) to ensure that
it is running. (
Note:
The Motor can only be replaced by an Authorized Service
Provider.)
