Installing and Connecting Summit Power Supplies
WARNING!
Do not plug in the power cable into the power supply unless the power supply is installed in the
switch.

Keep the faceplate and the power supply packaging for future use.
Removing a Summit 48si AC Power Supply
To remove a Summit48si AC power supply:

Remove the power cable from the wall outlet and then from the switch.
CAUTION
Shock hazard.

Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two retaining screws, as shown in Figure 66.

Use the handle to slowly pull the power supply toward you, as shown in Figure 67.
WARNING!
Do not insert your fingers or hands into the empty power supply bay.

If you are not going to install a replacement power supply, cover the power supply bay with the
blank faceplate that was originally supplied with the switch.
Otherwise, follow the instructions in “Installing a Summit 48si AC Power Supply” on page 127to
install a new power supply.
