and for each gas, the concentration detected is in parts per million (ppm) or percentage as
applicable.
The NO
x
reading is the total nitrogen oxide reading, a combination of nitric oxide (NO) and
nitrogen dioxide (NO
2
).
At the end of the start-up procedure, the gas measurements initially appear as 0.00 until
the first readings are taken. After a few seconds, the initial gas concentrations are
displayed.
The Gas Sensor Main screen also shows the status of the analyzer. In the example shown in
Figure 4-10 the analyzer is Running and OK (i.e., no faults have been identified). This area
of the display shows any errors detected by the software.
On the software screens, highlighted items are links to other screens in the software. To
access a screen, press the button next to the highlighted item.

PAGE (C) is a link between the Gas Sensor Main screen and the Pressure and Temperature
screen. Press the PAGE (D) button to toggle between these two screens.
HELP (F) is a link to the Help system. Press the HELP button to go to the HELP screen
(described in Help system ).
MENU (B) is a link to the main menu of the software. Press the MENU (A) button to go to
the MAIN MENU screen (described in Main menu ).
On the gas sensor main screen, the STATUS (G) button has no function when the
Rosemount CT5100(Ex) is operating correctly. If, however, the software detects a fault, an
