Configuring and Managing Virtual Tape Libraries
Note: You can click the Barcode, VTL, Media Type, Access Pool, Used (%),
and Capacity (GB) column headings to sort the rows by the data in the
respective column. Click the column heading again to invert the sorting
sequence from ascending order to descending order. Click the information
icon
to view additional cartridge information such as previous and
current position.
The Summary page lists the information as described in Table 5 .
Managing virtual
actions on the media
Use the Virtual Actions page to perform specific actions on the
virtual tape cartridges in the DL3D 1500/3000. To access the Virtual
Actions
page, on the Media Actions page, click Virtual Actions. The
Virtual Actions page appears.

Summary Information
Column Description
Barcode Displays the barcode number for the tape cartridge.
Virtual Tape Library Displays the virtual tape library name where the tape cartridge is
located.
Type Displays the tape cartridge type - LTO or SDLT.
Access Displays the tape cartridge state - scratch or used.
Pool Displays the type of cartridge pool such as application, cleaning,
service, or unknown.
Used (%) Displays the percentage of cartridge that is used.
Capacity (GB) Displays the total capacity of the tape cartridge.
