11.0 WL31 SYSTEM TEST AND DELIVERY
11.1 SYSTEM TEST
When the system devices installation and configuration is finished, it is necessary to verify that is working properly.
In section 8
FUNCTIONS
there is a TEST procedure enabling this check.
In addition to the tests on the inputs, outputs, voice call and centre call, carry out the following checks:
System’s activation and deactivation using the keyboards.
System activation and deactivation using, if present, the remote controls. To do this position yourself where
these operations will be carried out in reality (for example, outside the entrance door).
Working of possible “function keys” programmed on the keyboards or on the remote controls.
Check of the system from a remote position - if the communicators have not been installed - using a fixed
phone, a mobile phone or a modem (in this case the help of an external co-operator might be required). All
instructions for these checks are contained in par. 9.2
REMOTE COMMUTATION
11.2 USERS’ TRAINING
Once the perfect working of the anti-theft system has been verified, you can show the final users the main
operations to be carried out on the system. To obtain the best possible results from this training, do as follows:
Directly involve all the people which will use the WL31 system. If only one person is instructed, he could forget
something or may not be able to pass on correct information to the other users.
First carry out an operation yourself (for example, the system activation or deactivation) and then ask all those
present to repeat it in your presence, so that in any cases of doubt or problems you will be able to help them.
Ask all those present if they have any questions: the more doubts cleared, the easier the use of the system.
The main instructions to be given concern the following:
System’s complete activation and deactivation.
Single sectors activation and deactivation.
How to recognize the different signalling (display and acoustic): intrusion, attempted sabotage, dead battery,
etc.
How to visualize the events recorded in the control panel (Event memory).
How to modify date and time, especially when the time is changed from solar time to daylight saving time and
vice versa.
How to authorize the technician to carry out remote management (if the control panel is equipped with the
communicator)
How to carry out the system’s periodic test.
These procedures, are described in the control panel
PROGRAMMING Chapter,
as all the other ones to be added
if necessary
.
These procedures, as well as other ones, if required, are contained in section 8 FUNCTIONS.
11.3 FINAL OPERATIONS
If a Memory card is available, it is now possible to copy all the system configuration data.
The Memory Card enables you to keep a copy of the complete system configuration and programming.
This copy could be useful if it is necessary to replace the control panel.
Note: when saving the system, the event memory is not saved.
To carry out a copy do as follows:
1. Activate the maintenance procedure by inputting
Technician Code
(preset code 000000)
OK
851
OK.
On the display the message
«Memory Card - Save data» is shown.
2. Insert the Memory card into its specific location.
3. Press the
OK
key. Press the
key to display the message
«Confirmation - YES» and then press the
OK
key again.
4. The data saving starts and its progression is shown on a bar on the display.
When it is finished, the message «Memory Card - Save Data» is shown
again.
5. Remove the Memory Card and keep it in a safe place, taking care not to
ruin its contacts.
Close the control panel again and press the ESC key many times, until the
message «((( ELKRON WL31 )))» is shown again.
