OPTIONS
Specialize
: this enables the configuration of the remote control keys. Two functions can be allocated to each key:
one when the key is pressed for one second («short») and the other when the key is pressed at least for two
seconds (“long”). The allocated function can be one of the following:
Control
, such as «Deactivate», which deactivates the selected system, sector or output; «Activate», which
activates the selected system, sector or output; «Toggle», which cyclically activates and deactivates the
selected system, sector or output; «Status request» which enables you to know, thanks to the remote
control LED, the status (active or deactivated) of the selected system, sector or output. The output must be
programmed into “service”; «Fire» (fire alarm activation); «Fire reset» (current fire alarms reset).
Alarm
, this is used to cause the activation of an alarm (Silent panic, Panic-sirens, Emergency). If a key is
programmed as an alarm it becomes exclusive, which means that it can no longer carry out other functions.
Nominate
: this enables you to associate a description name of maximum length of 10 characters to the remote control,
thus making its following identification easier.
Warning
: it is advisable to always nominate the remote controls. See par.
6.9. ENTERING ALPHANUMERIC CHARACTERS THROUGH THE KEYBOARD, page 44.
Software
edition
(VERS. SW DEVICE.): this supplies information on the device software edition.
Copy
: this enables the duplication of the programming carried out on all the system devices of the same type (or
only on some chosen from a list). This function is very useful to reduce the system installation time, since with one
operation only it is possible to configure many devices.
Associate/not associate
: this enables you to allocate the remote control with the system or with a specific sector.
Examples of use
:
Silent panic: this enables you to send out a quiet alarm, for example through the phone in cases of theft.
Panic-sirens: this enables you to start an alarm signalling in cases of aggression.
Emergency: this enables the person who carries the remote control, for example an old person, to start an
alarm signalling in cases of painful episodes or accidents.
All these events must be produced within the limits of the remote control.
