Operator responsibility
The operator has to obtain information about the applicable occupational safety
regulations and, in a risk assessment, has to also determine additional hazards
resulting from the special working conditions at the place of use of the machine. He
has to implement these in the form of operating instructions for the operation of the
product.
The operator has to check, throughout the life of the product, that the operating
instructions he has made are in line with the current state of the regulations and adjust
them if necessary.
The operator has to regulate clearly and determine the responsibilities for operation,
troubleshooting, maintenance and cleaning.
The operator has to ensure that all employees who handle the product have read and
understood the instructions. In addition, he has to instruct the staff at regular intervals
and inform them about the dangers.
The operator must provide the personnel with the necessary protective equipment and
bind the wearing of the required protective equipment.
Attention: The operator has to check all safety devices
regularly for the functionality and completeness of all
equipment.
