4.8 Cleaning
Warning
Turn off all power to the manipulator, and then enter the manipulator's work
space.
4.8.1 Overview
To ensure a long uptime, please clean the ER15-1400 regularly. The cleaning interval
depends on the environment in which the robot works. According to the different protection types
of each part of the ER15-1400 robot, different cleaning methods can be used.
Warning
Be sure to confirm the protection type of the robot before cleaning.
4.8.2 Precautions
This section describes some precautions of cleaning the robot.
Attention
1. Before cleaning, be sure to check whether all protective covers have been
installed on the robot.
2. Never aim the cleaning water column at the connectors, contacts, seals or
gaskets.
3. Never use compressed air to clean the robot.
4. Never use solvents that are not approved by EFORT to clean the robot.
5. The distance of spraying cleaning fluid should not be less than 0.4m.
6. Never remove any protective covers or other protective equipment before
cleaning the robot.
