When the above steps are complete, Sonar.exe must be re-launched to activate the configuration
changes. This can be completed via the “x” in the top right-hand corner of the Sonar.exe GUI and the
Sonar.exe shortcut on the embedded CPU desktop.
Once the configuration of both the 6205s2 and the POS-MV is completed, the Sonar Serial Port Viewer
can be utilized to confirm data is being accepted correctly. To access this, select the Misc. tab in the
), then
Serial Port Information.
Next, select COM 5 in the first
dropdown, ensure that data is received, and the State is reported as “OK.”
Discover Bathymetry can also be used to check the correct configuration of the two units. The diagnostic
should not report any errors. However, review all changes made in the
above section if errors are seen. If errors persist, contact

The 6205s2 is compatible with the Ekinox / Apogee systems from SBG Systems. Follow the below steps
to configure the 6205s2 and the SBG for communication over the Ethernet interface via UDP. To configure:
