Additional configurations are possible. Please see the SBG instruction manual for detailed information on
settings and additional options. The following settings are required or suggested to configure the 6205s2
and the SBG for communication over the Ethernet interface via UDP.
EdgeTech preconfigures the sensor for the Hydro – Hypack preset output at 40 Hz. We do not
recommend changing this setting. However, the following should be kept in mind if a change is
unavoidable:

Required: All selected outputs at the same rate, recommended 50Hz

Required: EKF Euler (Provides Pitch, Roll, Heading)
o
Required: EKF Nav (for Ekinox or Apogee if you want Edgetech GGK and VTG
generated)

Recommended: Ship Motion 0 (Provides Heave)
o
Optional: Inertial Data (Provides Accelerometers)

Required Messages: HDT, TSS1, GGA, VTG, ZDA
o
A change of message type may require a parser adjustment. This can be
accomplished in Discover Bathymetric Software.

Computer System Restoration
The following section outlines the procedures for backing up and restoring the system drive. EdgeTech
currently uses Macrium Reflect as system restoration software.
CAUTION!
All data will be lost upon restoring the system to factory
settings. Therefore, be sure to back up all data before performing the
procedure below.
