Remove used consumables in the drawer and load the drawer with the consumables
required for the assay(s) that will be performed (sample pipette tip
racks, reagent pipette
tip racks, deep well strip racks (if required) and reagent well mixing well racks (if
required).

Move the drawer back into position. The sensor will detect the loaded drawer and the
indicator light will be orange.

The drawer will lock and the barcodes on the various items will have been read. When
the barcodes have been read, the indicator light will turn blue and the consumables
inventory in the system computer will be updated. The system may not read the
consumables inventory right away as it may be busy with other activities.
Note: Consumables can be added while other operations are being performed by
withdrawing any rack that is in a slot indicated by a pulsing blue LED indicator and
repeating the above operations.
To view the status of the consumables trays, press the Consumables region (Figure 4-18) of
the Dashboard to present Figure 4-19. The lock adjacent to a tray in Figure 4-15 indicates that
it has been scanned and the contents entered in the inventory.
