between the motorcycle and these vehicles is
too high.

the system cannot detect oncoming objects,
cross traffic, bicycles, scooters, pedestrians and
animals.
●
the system may have difficulty in detecting
vehicles with high ground clearance, raised
suspension, or an overhanging load, having
unconventional shapes or with limited
transversal section (like motorcycles).
●
the system may react (for example, by braking)
because of the unexpected detection of small
moving objects, different than a vehicle, e.g.
balls, cans, paper bags, bags of chips, cardboard
boxes.
●
the system does not detect vehicles traveling in
the opposite direction to the motorcycle
direction of travel or crosswise to the motorcycle
direction of travel.
●
the system may react to vehicles traveling in the
lane adjacent to the motorcycle’s lane and, for
instance, result in unexpected braking.
●
the system may fail to react or react incorrectly
in the presence of electromagnetic interference
or reflections of the surrounding environment
(e.g. toll booths, in tunnels, in the presence of
guardrails, heavy rain, ice, snow, hail or fog).
●
the system may fail to react or react incorrectly
in the presence of bumps, jerks or sudden
movements repeated over time that could cause
the radar sensor to become misaligned from its
original position. Such misalignment will
prevent the system’s proper operation or reduce
its effectiveness. (In such cases, it is necessary to
have the alignment/calibration checked by an
authorized dealer.) In case of an accident or
dropping of the motorbike, it is recommended
to have the radar and its positioning checked by
a Ducati authorized dealer.

the system may not operate correctly or at all if
the motorcycle has been dropped even at low
speed or from a stationary position because this
may cause misalignment of the radar sensor. (In
such cases, it is necessary to have the
alignment/calibration checked by an authorized
dealer.)
●
the system may fail to react or react incorrectly
in certain environmental and/or traffic
situations, in which radar detection may be
disturbed or delayed: this may result in incorrect
calculation of the distance between vehicles
