TCG Modes (Time Corrected Gain)
The TCG mode shall be enabled (TCG ENABLE) in the
CURVES
submenu – see
4.8.2. See also 4.3 for activation of DAC modes.
In order to use
DAC+TCG
or
TCG
mode, the reference (basic) DAC curve
(DAC TYPE 1) shall be set in advance – see 7.3.4. Setting of The Reference
(Basic) DAC Curve (DAC TYPE 1).
The
DAC
key activates amplitude correction functions as follows:
- depress
DAC
once, the
DAC
button
(green
background)
indicates
active
Distance-Amplitude-Correction mode;
- depress
DAC
twice, the
DAC+TCG
button
(green
background)
indicates
active
Distance-Amplitude-Correction + Time-
Corrected-Gain mode;
Time corrected gain function will be
applied within range of reference (basic)
DAC curve points – echo amplitudes from
the same reflectors in different depth will
be equalized to the level of the first
reference reflector (leftmost).
- depress
DAC
triple, the
TCG
button
(green background) indicates active Time-
Corrected-Gain mode.
Time corrected gain function will be
applied within range of reference (basic)
DAC curve points.
