5.1.3 Functions of GATE 1 with Angle Probes
When the ANGLE function is “ON” and X-VALUE had been set in the Settings menu,
some values are displayed using corrected metrics:

(1) – S=XXmm – non-corrected sound
path – position of maximum echo peak
(marked with blue cross “ × ”) within the
GATE 1. The skip-leg position of the
echo peak is indicated next to the
value by \ / symbol. The position of
echo peak on the skip diagram is
indicated by small grey square, which
changes to red, when echo crosses
the gate level;

(2) – 1.P=XXmm – position and height of first echo peak (marked with white cross)
over the GATE 1;

(3) – D=XXmm – calculated depth of the indication (maximum echo peak within
the GATE 1, marked with blue cross “ × ”);
- (4) – maximum echo peak (marked with blue cross “ × ”) relative amplitude against
the GATE 1 [dB] (not active in RF display mode);
- (5) – maximum echo peak (marked with blue cross “ × ”) absolute height within the
GATE 1 [% FSH];

(6) – P – projection distance from the probe X-point to the maximum echo peak
(marked with blue cross “ × ”) within the GATE 1.
